As veteran members of GNA will remember, last year's Ski-A-Thon was a tremendous success which raised over $3,500.00 for the club.
These funds were allocated to expand our club from a 8 month program to a year-round program which has been of tremendous benefit to all GNA skiers.
Now with the competitive year winding down, it's once again time to focus on what has become our most successful fund-raiser - the Ski-a-thon which has been set for Sunday, April 2 at 5.00 pm. Please meet at the base of the Gunstock Alpine area at 4.30 pm for course setting, warm-up and waxing. Last year's snow conditions were very fast, so it was rather easy for a large percentage of our members to reach the 20k limit. However, there's is no guarantee the conditions will be equally fast this year, so get as large commitments as possible from your sponsors!
To encourage you 'in your pledge drive for the Ski-A-Thon, we have created an exciting new awards program. If you raise at least $ 1,000.00 for GNA you will receive a $100.00 credit which you can apply toward membership dues or equipment such as roller skis, race suits, club jacket, etc.
Additionally, there will be gift certificates and prizes for at least the top three fund-raisers.
Pledge sheets to fill out will be mailed to everyone in the next couple of weeks, but go ahead and get started on pledges right away. If you have any questions or need any help with soliciting pledges, please let me know.
